The skies are turning darker and there is certain rain fall during the game in New Jersey when the New York Jets host the Atlanta Falcons. Rain could fall at a handful of the other nine outdoor games on today's National Football League schedule with cold temperatures greeting the fans and players in Pittsburgh.
Still, for the most part, the weather is simply early winter conditions without any severe elements to affect the play on the field.
Only the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots have a more than one game cushion in their division leads. The Eagles loss on Friday and the Dallas Cowboys win on Thanksgiving cut the defending champs margin to 1½ games in the NFC East race. The Patriots, who host the New York Giants on Monday night, come into Week 13 play with a 2½ games lead over the second place Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are now just one game behind the division leading Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South Division. They meet next week in Jacksonville; it is their first meeting of the season. They will battle again, with playoff implications probably on the line, again in three weeks at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Often, when two division leaders have a huge game coming up they have trouble focusing on the game at hand. That is one of the reasons why we are against both the Jaguars and Colts today, siding with the Houston Texans in Indianapolis and with the Tennessee Titans in their home game against the Jaguars.
The second most popular play of the day for the public wagering is the Miami Dolphins. They host the New Orleans Saints and are favored by five points. It is worth noting that a few days ago this line was Miami by six points and despite heavy action on the home team the books have sliced the line to five.
Why?
One reason.
Big money is taking the road team in this one and the books are offering the side the public wanted while having them needing to give less points on the spread. To the average bettor, this looks like a bargain, but it is more likely a trap. Smart money doesn’t always win, but you wouldn’t want the record betting against it.
As for the rest of the public’s most-bet games this week they have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3½) over the Arizona Cardinals on the top of their list and following the Miami Dolphins (-5) over the New Orleans Saints is the Jacksonville Jaguars (-6) over the Tennessee Titans.
As for the Qoxhi Week 13 selections, they are now posted on this site and if a Bullet Play develops in the final hour leading up to the first kickoff of the day that game will be added to the list of recommendations by 9:45 a.m. Pacific Time.
